Welcome to the official site of pet pencil artist Maureen K. Pitts.
Here you can find examples of my pencil portraits of pets. As you
can see from my portfolio I have mostly drawn dogs and horses. But
I am not limited to just these types animals I can draw pencil
portraits of any type animal.
My most recent works include drawings of the hunting dog breeds
(such as Labrador and Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, English Setters,
and pointers) and horses. This comes from personally having dogs
of these breeds as well as my husband’s business, which involves
dogs for his guided quail hunts. Dogs have always been part of my
life. I have also had horses for well over 30 years and a horse was
the first drawing I did when I was a kid. I have always loved drawing
horses and have continually worked on perfecting my drawing skills.
